Job DescriptionJob DescriptionClayton Valley Dance Academy is looking for new teachers for our 2026-2027 season and beyond.
The ideal candidate will be able to teach Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 3:15pm to 8:30pm (Monday only, Wednesday classes and at 6:20pm) and Saturday mornings from 8:30am-12:00pm. Styles include Ballet, Jazz, Tap (beginning), tumbling and contemporary. Candidate MUST have experience with pre-dance and younger students. Candidates are encouraged to apply if availability meets one or all of the days with classes. We are interested in hiring multiple new faces for your team. Additional classes, choreography and performance opportunities are available. About the Role:Clayton Valley Dance Academy in Concord, CA is looking for a passionate and talented Dance Teacher to inspire students of all ages and skill levels. Classes include all styles for all ages and levels. We are looking to hire 1-2 new teachers to join our team and become a part of our dance family long term. Responsibilities:Plan and deliver engaging dance instruction across styles such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, or contemporaryTeach students of varying ages and skill levels in a positive, structured class environmentDevelop age-appropriate choreography for recitals, showcases, and performancesMonitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support growthMaintain a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom atmosphereCommunicate effectively with students, parents, and studio staffAssist with studio events, recitals, and special performances as neededRequirements:Prior experience teaching dance in a studio, school, or recreational settingProficiency in one or more dance styles (ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, lyrical, etc.)Strong classroom management and student engagement skillsAbility to work with children and teens of all experience levelsReliable, punctual, and professional demeanorCPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtainPassion for dance education and student developmentAbout Us:Clayton Valley Dance Academy is a beloved dance studio serving the Concord, CA community with high-quality instruction and a nurturing environment for dancers of all ages.
