Legal Assistant
Junior / Entry-Level Position

A busy and well-established litigation law firm in Boynton Beach is seeking an Entry-Level / Junior Legal Assistant to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to establish or launch a career in the legal field and gain valuable, hands-on experience in a law firm environment.

The firm the will train and provide the guidance needed to learn the day-to-day operations of a busy litigation practice. You’ll have the opportunity to develop practical legal and administrative skills while working alongside experienced legal professionals. 

Job Details
This position is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with a strong interest in the legal field who is looking for a stable, professional environment where they can learn and grow. 

Responsibilities may include:

• Providing administrative and legal support to attorneys and other legal staff
• Preparing, organizing and maintaining legal documents and correspondence
• Assisting with document management, filing and case organization
• Handling routine correspondence, emails and telephone calls
• Assisting with scheduling, calendars and coordinating appointments
• Entering and maintaining information in firm databases and case management systems
• Assisting with filing and other basic litigation-related tasks
• Performing general administrative duties and special projects as needed
• Learning the firm's procedures and developing a strong understanding of the litigation process

Qualified Applicant

• MUST have an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Legal Studies, Business, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred.
• Strong interest in a career in the legal profession
• Polished, professional and well-spoken
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Dependable, motivated and task-oriented
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable learning new computer programs and office technology
• Able to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
• Professional attitude with a willingness to learn and take direction
• Bilingual –English / Spanish or English / Creole is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• $20.00 per hour to start — 40 hr work week
• Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM
• Fully on-site position in Boynton Beach
• Health insurance available after the probationary period
